22.02 - lake street addition

Project Location: Private Residence, Salt Lake City, UT

An efficient addition to a 1904 single family home in the heart of Salt Lake City. The clients wanted to transform a collapsing lean-to addition into something usable for their family and an anchor for their large yard. We reused the existing block foundation and added a large deck with a deep roof to protect from western sunlight. The new room is clad in natural tiles and outfitted with custom cabinetry to house laundry, workspace, pantry, and coffee bar, resulting in a space that is a center for entertaining and relaxation.
